The process of creating an app on CloudReady is fairly straightforward. But, CloudReady does offer a free, open source alternative to Chromebooks. However, CloudReady is not compatible with Google’s Guest Mode or Family Link account, which make it impossible to use Google Assistant or Google Play on CloudReady. CloudReady doesn’t support this, but you can download Android apps through Chrome OS. Google added support for Android apps to many Chromebooks, so the Google Play Store is integrated into many of these devices. Neverware is looking into ways to add this functionality to its devices. Can I install Android Apps on Cloudready? Yes, it’s possible! CloudReady is based on Chromium OS, the same operating system that powers Chromebooks.
